Overview

A law to provide for the welfare of workers, and to regulate the terms of work in the garden.

 

Registration of Plantations

Every employer in the existing garden at the time of the commencement of the Garden Workers (Amendment) Act, 1981, within 60 days of such commencement, and every employer of any other garden that came into existence after such commencement, shall apply to the registering officer for registration of such gardens.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Any entrepreneur/applicant who owns the garden of five hectares and 15 workers working in the garden.

 

Guidelines for applying in the EODB Portal

 

Fees including the payment mode

The fees of the required amount specified under The Assam Rule-2(G) are to be paid through online mode in the EODB portal

Fee:- The list of notified fees is as follows:–

List of Fees
a. Gardens up to 120 hectares Rs. 250.00/-
b. Gardens between 121 hectares and 200 hectares Rs. 500.00/-
c. Gardens between 201 hectares and more Rs. 750.00/-

 

Service Outcome

Certificates of registration of establishments under the Labour Rules of Plantations constructed under it, 1956, have been prepared therein.
